The Official Record of Jeffery Hartman
I’m Jeffery Hartman—an entrepreneur, builder, deal maker, and systems strategist with experience in debt buying, receivables, portfolio transactions, and collections since 2008.
In receivables markets, I’m also known as “The Don of Debt.” My work connects transaction execution with practical business systems and financial technology.
Since 2008, I’ve advised on, structured, or closed more than $100 billion in cumulative transaction volume across consumer cards, auto loans, fintech installment debt, and commercial judgments. This is a first-party cumulative-volume figure, not assets under management, assets owned, annual volume, revenue, or a third-party audited total. I have not published a transaction-level schedule or reproducible calculation method, so readers cannot independently recalculate it from this page. Deal-level records are not public because of counterparty confidentiality.
Professional Role
At Fitzgerald Advisors, I serve as Director of Portfolio Liquidity & Asset Disposition. I also serve on the board and as a loan advisor. Fitzgerald Advisors is a direct broker desk connecting qualified sellers and buyers around whole-loan, mortgage-note, and defined debt portfolio mandates. Its confidential first review focuses on asset type, fit, documentation, and timing. I contribute directly to sourcing, evaluating, and executing transactions.
Product and Systems Work
I focus on product logic, data relationships, workflows, and business rules. I work with developers and AI tools to shape practical software projects for markets I know firsthand.
I start with the decision a customer or operator needs to make, check the evidence and economics, then test a practical response. I measure what changes before deciding to scale, revise, or stop.
I care more about building useful systems than defending a particular product. When results point elsewhere, I’m willing to redirect attention and capital.
Selected Projects
My public work includes Debt Catalyst, BankWatch Pro, CU Watch Pro, and Search Receivables. Each has its own purpose, and my role varies across transaction execution, product strategy, and industry publishing. Debt Catalyst, BankWatch Pro, and CU Watch Pro are separate software projects; listing a project does not mean every feature is generally released.
